Mandate
The APSB manages the controlled zone (ZEC) of the Bonaventure River for the Ministère des forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs (MFFP). The APSB is committed to planning, organizing, directing and controlling the exploitation, preservation and management of wildlife within the boundaries of this territory, in accordance with the following principles:
- Ensure that there are no actions or practices that work against the preservation of wildlife and its habitat
- Ensure equal opportunities for all to access and use wildlife resources
- Promote the participation of people interested in wildlife management in a democratic framework
- Secure sustainable funding for the operations of the organization
